Xbalanque è una delle Divinità giocabili in SMITE.
Folklore[ | ]
Xbalanque nacque con la vendetta nel suo cuore. Come uno degli eroi gemelli, Xbalanque e suo fratello Hunaphu, sapevano che le loro esistenze gli avrebbero infine portati ad affrontare i signori della morte, capi dell'oltretomba che uccisero il loro padre, ma prima essi avrebbero dovuto padroneggiare l'arte di cacciare con la cerbottana e il gioco violento della palla chiamato Pitz. Come prova della loro forza, essi decisero di sconfiggere il vanitoso e malvagio dio uccello, Sette Macao, che si era proclamato sole e Luna e aveva rimpiazzato i suoi denti con gioielli luccicanti. Gli Eroi gemelli tirarono con le loro cerbottane al dio uccello, facendo saltare molti dei denti brillanti di Sette Macao. Egli si lanciò ferocemente su di loro, ma colpì solo Hunahpu e mi strappò un braccio. I gemelli cercarono quindi l'aiuto di una vecchia coppia e li dissero di fare finta di essere dentisti. Sette Macao cercò di alleviare il dolore nella sua bocca, così, come era stato concordato, i dentisti cavarono i denti restanti di Sette Macao e li sostituirono con del mais bianco. Il grande uccello ne fu così umiliato che morì dal dispiacere. Solo dopo molti anni e molte altre prove, gli eroi gemelli furono in grado di sfidare i signori della morte e vendicare il loro padre, ma la loro vittoria finale consentì loro di ascendere ai cieli, dove Xbalanque divenne la luna, luce della notte per i cacciatori intelligenti.

- Xbalanque was the first Mayan god released and the date of his patch was December 21, 2012, which is the date the long-count Maya Calendar. ended and was alleged to be the end of the world by certain conspiracy theorists. Most of Xbalanque's jokes refer to this event.
- One of Xbalanque's jokes, "What? No, this isn't poison on my darts! This is.. this is.. Incense! Yeah, sandalwood.", is a reference to a quote in the film The Emperor's New Groove.
- Xbalanque's Jaguar Footballer skins were made to celebrate the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and most of their quotes are references to the sport Football.
- One of Jaguar Footballer's jokes, "Real football isn't played with a pointy ball!", is a reference to how in America, Football is a different sport and actual football is called soccer.
