Sia per l'arroganza che per l'orgoglio, i greci avevano solo una parola: hybris. Si tratta di un crimine contro gli dei e gli uomini, ma è un crimine commesso da molti e lasciato spesso impunito. Persino il potente Zeus ne è colpevole. Ma quando una punizione è dovuta, persino il dio del tuono rifulge l'esecutore. Ella è Nemesi, la dea dalla spada rossa della Giustizia Divina. Ricorda la storia di Narciso, che era così preso dalla sua stessa bellezza. Egli ostentava orgogliosamente il suo viso, a discapito di ogni altra cosa. Finché, alla fine, non incappò in uno stagno cristallino dove il suo stesso riflesso lo rapì. Rimase così tanto tempo ad ammirare la sua stessa immagine che la fame richiamò la sua vita. È così che Nemesi reagisce all'hybris. È una conseguenza eguale al crimine. Adesso osserva il paese sconvolto dalla guerra, assalito dalla collera degli dei sfrenati che riempiono l'aria con sangue e spacconerie. Quel campo di battaglia è pieno di hybris. Involontariamente, quegli stupidi guerrieri hanno chiamato il loro più grande avversario. Nemesi è arrivata! Non ci saranno più imprese disoneste a compromettere il risultato, non ci saranno più fiumi di ricchezze tenuti in mani immeritevoli, non ci saranno più leggende ingiustamente guadagnate. Nemesi scatenerà un' onda di giustizia. La punizione per chi si è macchiato di hybris è la morte.

- Nemesis was originally a Warrior but was reclassified with SMITE Version 1.0.2151.3 and became an Assassin.
- Nemesis' VER VGS command, "You rock, but don't get cocky.", could be a reference to the quote made by Han Solo in the movie Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.
- One of Nemesis Blind Vengeance skin's jokes, "Has anyone been able to find Hidden Leaf Village?", is a reference to the Japanese manga series Naruto.
